Shat-R-Shield Ironclad Zero-Watt INH Series Exit Sign

The Shat-R-Shield Ironclad Zero-Watt INH Series is a self-luminous exit sign designed for demanding correctional, institutional and other secure-facility applications. Powered by sealed tritium light sources, it requires no electrical wiring, batteries or external power and is available with 10- or 20-year service-life ratings.

• Construction:
  • 6” high letters with 3/4” stroke available with Red, Green, or Black faceplate suitable for use in hazardous atmospheres and damp locations. Meets NEC Article 500, Class 1, 11 and 111 conditions
  • Heavy-duty cast aluminum frame available in single-face and double-face configurations.
  • Beveled edges and rounded corners withstand high impacts
  • Tamper-proof mounting hardware prevents unauthorized removal
  • Standard exterior finish: Brushed Aluminum with clear lacquer coating.
  • Aluminum stencil face with field selectable chevron directional indicators
  • 3/8” clear Polycarbonate shield seals lamp compartment and prismatic refractor lens
  • Operating temperature -55°C to 80°C
  • Available in service life ratings of 10 or 20 years
  • Exterior Finish Options: Brushed Aluminum is the standard/default finish. Black and White finishes are also available.

The Ironclad Zero-Watt INH Series is designed for applications where dependable exit illumination is required without electrical wiring, batteries or an external power source. Because the sign is continuously self-luminous, it does not depend on facility power or battery backup to remain illuminated.

Its heavy-duty cast-aluminum frame, impact-resistant polycarbonate shield and tamper-resistant mounting hardware make the INH Series well suited for correctional, detention and institutional environments where durability and resistance to unauthorized removal are important.

The INH Series is available in single- or double-face configurations with 10- or 20-year rated service lives. It provides a 100-foot visibility rating and is UL 924 listed and designed to meet NFPA 101 Life Safety Code requirements.
