Rx Destroyer medication disposal systems are available in two formulations for Liquids and All-Purpose. The large variety of sizes and accessories will nicely accommodate your facility's medication disposal needs.

HOW IT WORKS - Rx Destroyer technology uses a combination of liquid dissolving agent and charged activated charcoal. Medication dissolution and adsorption begins on contact. Once medication elements attach to activated charcoal they are effectively irretrievable. Use of extreme heat (~1700 degrees F) may be attempted. However, at this temperature, drugs are atomized or destroyed. Consider this, metals such as brass and silver melt at this temperature; As such, drug adsorbents are mineralized to carbon dioxide water – Irretrievable.

WASTE OPTIONS - Rx Destroyer drug disposal products are used in-home and healthcare industry. Rx Destroyer recognizes disposal processes and regulations vary from state-to-state. In fact, certain businesses may standardize on incineration as a final means of destruction. Although it may be safe to dispose in common trash for some users, always be aware of facility, local, state, or tribal requirements which may prohibit discarding Rx Destroyer to common trash.

Tightly replace cap
Gently shake to mix solution over medications
Store in a safe and secure location…use until full
Bottle is full when contents are within 2 inches from cap – DO NOT OVERFILL
Discard bottle and its contents into common trash or according to business process and regulations.
Always follow institutional policies, local, state, tribal and federal disposal regulations for compliance.
*Outer shell of capsules and patch material will NOT dissolve.

USES:

All non-hazardous medications (DEA-controlled & Non-controlled). Check Federal & State Guidelines on how to determine if medications are hazardous waste.
In cases where a business has determined they can safely commingle hazardous and non-hazardous in Rx Destroyer™, Generator shall follow worse case medication disposal scenario process to ensure safe and proper disposal of bottle contents.

Do not add gassing items such as effervescent, antacid medications, syringes (hardware) or drugs known to react with one another such as sodium bicarbonate and aspirin. Gently shake to mix solution with medications
Store in a safe and secure location…use until full
Bottle is full when contents are within 2 inches from cap – DO NOT OVERFILL
Prior to discarding, add Pouch of Rx Destroyer™ Hardener into bottle
Tightly secure cap, shake bottle until contents thicken
Discard bottle and its contents into common trash or according to business process and regulations.
Always follow institutional policies, state, local, tribal and federal disposal regulations for compliance.
