Disposable gloves are made of neoprene, vinyl, nitrile rubber, latex, or polyurethane, and are available in powdered versions as well as powder-free versions required for medical or scientific cleanroom environments. Polyurethane gloves are used in the food service industry and have very low puncture resistance. Latex, nitrile, and vinyl gloves are commonly used for disposable chemical protective gloves, usually as part of industrial chemical processing, warehouse handling, or general worker safety procedures, and can be worn over an inner protector glove for greater protection.
