The three-quarter coverage shell is constructed of high density Tenntex Thermo Composite utilizing high pressure injection compression molding for increased strength while keeping a lightweight helmet, Shell edge will have a finished trim made of steel core extruded neoprene rubber. Visor will be an integral molded part of the shell. Back edge of shell will be tapered outward to allow positioning of shoulder weapon in prone position. Helmet sides flare to accommodate double canister gas masks behind face shields. Most current gas masks can be used with this helmet. Shell will be painted with a scratch resistant flat black paint. Complete helmet will not be more than 3 lbs. 5 oz. Fully equipped including the shield grid. | | | LINER
The impact liner is constructed of expanded polystyrene (EPS). The liner will have a minimum thickness of 3/4 in test plane area to provide maximum impact energy attenuation. Two EPS liner sizes will be available to offer optimum comfort and appearance. | | | SIZES
Size Range 6 3/4 to 8 1/8. Order by S/M 6 3/4-7 1/4, L/XL 7 3/8-7 7/8, and XXL 8-8 1/8. The EPS liner will be completely covered by a vented brush nylon material that is bonded to a multi-density foam for comfort and durability. This material will provide maximum wicking of perspiration away from the users head to allow for the most cooling to the wearer. Two self adhesive sizing strips will be included with each helmet for sizing adjustment within a shell range. | | | RETENTION SYSTEM
The retention system includes a two point attachment harness. The chinstrap will be equipped with a quick release buckle (all metal working parts) for secure fastening that meets or exceeds industry standards. The quick release buckle allows fast entrance and exit to helmet even when user is wearing gloves. | | | RIOT SHIELD
The face shield is constructed of high impact transparent material with a clear, optical grade finish. Measurements of face shield to be 7 x 18 with a .125 thickness. The liquid seal is a molded TPE material, black and semi-rigid affixed to prevent a passage of liquids from the helmet dome or face shield onto the inner shield surface when the shield is in the down position. Tactical face shield is mounted directly using standard mounting blocks. The shield mounting system to be designed and affixed to be integral to the shield, remaining in place when shield is removed from the helmet. Shield blocks will mount to the helmet with rivets and shield to install mounting blocks with thumbscrew that will lock the shield in desired position. Both are designed for maximum shear strength. Shield mount is designed to accommodate most gas masks behind shield when in down position. Guard grid to be manufactured of #9 gauge steel, black electrostatic powder coated. Dimensions: 6.5 high x 15 wide. Guard grid drilled and attached to face shield is designed to give added protection of officers face. | | | STANDARDS
