• Bulwark Excel-FR Flame Resistant Cotton. This flame retardant cotton is sprayed with a fiberous topical solution. This process forms a high molecular weight polymer within the cotton itself. Bulwark protective apparel made of Bulwark Excel-FR fabric is used in nearly all areas involving ferrous metals such as foundries, flame cutting, and welding. • Bulwark Excel-FR ComfortTouch Flame Resistant Material. Bulwark Excel-FR ComforTouch is a durable flame retardant 88% cotton/12% nylon blend fabric designed to provide increased abrasion resistance compared to 100% cotton. Because Bulwark Excel-FR ComforTouch cotton blend has higher arc ratings than similar weight 100% cotton fabrics, it is widely used by workers exposed to electric arc hazards. Bulwark EXCEL-FR ComforTouch protective apparel is also used in the chemical, oil, gas, and petrochemical industries.
• Bulwark Nomex IIIA Flame Resistant aramid material. Nomex IIIA is an inherently fire resistant material. NOMEX IIIA is an aramid fiber manufactured by DuPont. This blend of Nomex, 5% KEVLAR and 2% static dissipative fiber is ideal for a wide varity of applications including the petrochemical industry, ultilities, military applications and fire fighters.
